Blue North is the KY Innovation Hub serving the 17 counties of Northern Kentucky: Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Pendleton, Carroll, Owen, Harrison, Trimble, Oldham, Henry, Bracken, Mason, Robertson, Fleming, and Lewis. KY Innovation Hubs represent Kentucky’s approach to building vibrant, regional innovation clusters across the state and growing the overall economy.

Headquartered in Covington, Kentucky, Blue North connects Northern Kentucky entrepreneurs to the resources and regional networks that exist to help businesses grow and thrive. Blue North’s ideal client is a high-growth entrepreneur seeking support and resources in the Northern Kentucky ecosystem. Their primary business segments of focus are e-commerce, health, and technology. The most common point in a company’s development to start working with Blue North is during seed fundraising.
One key program Blue North has launched is the Northern Kentucky Entrepreneur Fund. The NKY Entrepreneur Fund is focused on supporting Northern Kentucky-based entrepreneurs and organizations, including startups, support organizations, educational vehicles and accelerators. The fund’s inaugural initiative, launched in 2023, was a partnership with Cincinnati-based Main Street Ventures.
Blue North continues to play a pivotal role in SparkHaus, Northern Kentucky’s entrepreneurial hub for coworking and private offices. Slated to open in the summer of 2025, SparkHaus is a dedicated space for startups, venture investors and high-growth entrepreneurs that are looking for coworking, event space and community in the Commonwealth. It is a place for businesses to grow and scale, from seed-stage ventures to those on the cusp of significant expansion. At SparkHaus, ideas collide, creating powerful opportunities for startup founders, entrepreneurs and capital providers.
