Morgan Security Services was founded in 2012 by two former Louisville first responders: Barron Morgan, a former Louisville Metro Police Department Detective, and Janice Morgan, a former Louisville Metro Paramedic. When thinking about their future as their careers as first responders were ending, the married couple decided they wanted to serve the people of Kentucky further. This commitment to service led them to start Morgan Security Services.
The Louisville-based security company provides security services throughout the state, emphasizing a standard for providing safe public environments at clients' facilities. They offer a wide range of security options, including armed and unarmed guards, patrol units, off-duty officers and private investigators. Their services begin with a detailed consultation and property analysis to ensure that each client receives optimal protection and a suite of services best suited to their needs.
As Morgan Security Services continues to expand, they have partnered with the Kentucky APEX Accelerator to pursue registrations and certifications that will support their growth in both commercial and government markets. The Kentucky APEX Accelerator team has helped Morgan Security Services successfully register in the System for Award Management (SAM) and has assisted them with their 8(a) certification process through the U.S. Small Business Administration.
