Interapt, LLC

Founded in 2011 as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Interapt partners with organizations to accelerate growth and innovation by training and empowering underrepresented and/or under skilled populations to bridge the talent and equity gaps for companies and communities alike.

Born out of founder and CEO Ankur Gopal’s own challenge in sourcing local tech talent in the IT consulting line of business, Interapt identified an opportunity to help other enterprise organizations facing similar issues through the Interapt Talent System, a proprietary process that provides learners with tuition-free technical training, fully customized to a client’s specific tech stack. Graduates enter Interapt’s award-winning Tech Apprenticeship program, yielding a net-new pipeline of high-quality, diverse tech talent with a 98% success rate.

Interapt goes beyond normal software development and IT consulting services by leveraging their expertise to invest in communities and make a difference — for their clients, their employees and the communities they serve.

Delivering sustainable solutions to close talent gaps, promote diversity and propel equity in tech, Interapt de-risks non-traditional talent for employer partners. They assess, train, employ and retain talent, all while guaranteeing high-quality output and on-time deliverables.

Interapt partners with nationally accredited training providers to develop and deliver custom tailored curriculum based on their customers’ unique needs. Graduates are hired by Interapt as apprentices and deployed in “pods,” teams of senior/mid/junior resources, to the employer partner. Apprentices receive ongoing coaching, mentorship, professional development and technical upskilling from Interapt for the duration of the apprenticeship.

Interapt provides employer partners with the opportunity to convert talent following twelve months of engagement. Interapt uses their innovative talent development model to help companies like CVS, Fifth Third Bank and EY build a more robust and diverse workforce with skills for the modern economy.

Interapt is certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by both the National Minority Supplier Development Council and the State of Kentucky. Regarding the support his company has received from the Kentucky APEX Accelerator, founder and CEO Ankur Gopal noted, “By providing expert guidance, tailored resources and strategic support, the KY APEX Accelerator empowers SMBEs like Interapt to navigate the complex government procurement process with confidence.”
